Pharmaterials Ltd is a science driven contract research organization specializing in the optimization of drug substance physical forms (salt, polymorphs and co-crystals), the development of preclinical and early phase formulations and the manufacture of clinical trials materials.
We have a wealth of experience in the development of low solubility drug substances and have taken a great many such formulations to the clinic.
We provide a complete formulation service for inhaled drug delivery using dry powder inhaler (DPI) and pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI) systems.
Using high-throughput screening technologies in both physical form generation and formulation design, we assist biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to rapidly and successfuly progress their problematic lead compounds into the clinical phases of development. With partnerships that span the globe, Pharmaterials works with a range of organisations, including start-up, mid-size and multinational companies.
We can assist or manage projects as needed, from bespoke salt selection and polymorphism screening services through to full formulation screening and development programs.
Company History
Pharmaterials was founded in January 2000 by Professor Graham Buckton as a spin-out company from the London School of Pharmacy, UK. Since inception, the company has exponentially expanded through implementation of an organic business model and in 2005, due to a period of sustained business growth moved to state-of-the-art laboratories and offices in Reading, UK. The company offers services spanning many aspects of drug development with the commitment to exceptional service reflected in our high rate of return business.
In January 2008 PII acquired Pharmaterials providing an enhanced service for our customers, with full GMP manufacturing and stability testing. |
