Professor Graham Buckton as a Pharmaceutical Expert Witness.

Professor Graham Buckton has now worked as an expert witness on patent cases relating to various aspects of formulation (modified release, inhalation, conventional solid dosage forms) and physical form (salts, polymorphism, hydrates etc).

Graham has a Pharmacy degree from Chelsea College, a PhD from Kings College and a DSc from The School of Pharmacy all in the University of London. He has won numerous awards including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Science Medal, the Pfizer Award and the Stig Sunner Award. He is a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the Academy of Pharmaceutical Scientists.  He was Editor of International Journal of Pharmaceutics and serves on the editorial steering group of the Handbook of Pharmaceutical Excipients and has served on numerous other editorial boards of scientific journals. Graham has worked for many years on the British Pharmacopoeia Commission, the Committee of Safety of medicines and its Chemistry, Pharmacy and Standards sub-committee, and USP and PhEur working parties.

In recent years Graham has acted on patent cases in the UK, Ireland and the USA in the UK High Court and in US deposition process, as well as the European Patent Office.

He has worked for innovator and generic companies.
