Microfluidiser for poorly soluble drug formulation.
Dissolution rate is greatly enhanced when particle size is reduced to a micron or less. Microfluidised formulations are stabilised particles of very small size that are made using high energy attrition in suspension with surfactants.
The particles can be used as a suspension of dried, by spray drying for example, and further processed into hard gelatin capsules or tablets.
Pharmaterials offer development services for tox studies, as well as scale up and GMP manufacture, with state-of-the-art production microfluidiser and GMP production spray drying, and then manufacture into suitable solid oral dosage forms. |
